Homes, Inc. is a licensed non-profit agency for special needs children,
serving Colorado
since 1989.

Us. Loving Homes is committed to finding adoptive families for
the special need child, from birth to age 18. Special needs children,
are afflicted
with emotional difficulties due to past traumatic life events, including,
but not limited to, physical, sexual and emotional abuse or neglect.
During
over 14 years of service to children and families in Colorado, Loving
Homes has become nationally recognized for its innovative approaches
to
helping educate families about the need to place special needs children.
Our training materials have been requested and distributed in all 50
States,
Canada,
England and Australia. At Loving Homes, we have trained
over 2,000 adoptive parents, caseworkers and mental health professionals. The agency has
worked
with the University of Southern Colorado and the University of Denver
in training Social Work interns since 1992.
As the first adoption
agency for special needs children in Colorado,we are considered one
of the leading adoption resources for
hard to place
children. For over 14 years, Loving Homes has recruited families
for special needs children, with an average age of 8. A total
of 52%
of adoptive
placements have been children of
color, with 40% of children of color placed with families who shared
the
child's racial and/or cultural background.
